DEC schedules Marcellus shale drilling hearing in Corning | stargazette.com | Star-Gazette
The state Department of Environmental Conservation has scheduled a fourth public comment session regarding the draft Supplemental Generic Environmental Impact Statement governing potential natural gas drilling activities in the Marcellus Shale formation.
The fourth session will be held Nov. 18 at the Corning East High School Auditorium, 201 Cantigny St. in Corning. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for individual questions, and the formal public comment session will start at 7 p.m.
DEC previously announced other sessions in Loch Sheldrake, New York City and Chenango Bridge.
